Iyleen has a background in education and online curriculum resource development. Her roles in education, included, Teacher of English and Literature, Head of Department English, Chief Marker English Literature and Course Development Officer. Iyleen worked at WestOne Services for seven years, first as a Project Manager and later, Manager of Resource Development K-12; responsible for the development of online and print resources for the School of Isolated and Distance Education.  

In 2013, Iyleen worked part-time at Education Training International, responsible for the registration of Secondary Exchange Organisations, and the provision of information on public school education
K–12, to international students.

Since 2014, Iyleen has been undertaking short term contracts, such as, editing and NAPLAN and OLNA marking and joined Beilby Downing Teal in 2018, providing support to the Education Team.
