Louise recently retired from the WA Department of Education, after working for forty-two years as a primary teacher and school leader.

Louise worked in the classroom for twenty-eight years, taking on a number of curriculum and school leadership roles. As a Deputy Principal at Wattle Grove Primary school for fifteen years, Louise led the English curriculum, with a particular passion for books and managing the Library. Louise’s other passion is working with emerging teachers to inspire their commitment to the profession and support the development of their professional practice.

Since joining Beilby Downing Teal in 2020, Louise is developing the skills to support recruitment services for the WA Department of Education and looks forward to building her capacity in this role, using the knowledge acquired in her years of working in West Australian schools.
