The Kimberley Development Commission is one of nine Western Australian Regional Development Commissions established to grow regional economies, drive job creation and enhance social and economic opportunities.
As chief executive officer you will manage and administer the day-to-day operations of the organisation and be accountable to the Minister for Regional Development and the Commission’s Board of Management.
You will partner with business, government and the community to develop the region and deliver policy objectives on behalf of the Minister and the Government.
A demonstrated track record of strong leadership, team achievement, exemplary personal integrity and innovation is essential for success in this position. You will also need excellent communication and influencing skills, and the ability to build, nurture and sustain effective working relationships with a range of key stakeholders, noting Aboriginal engagement and economic development are essential elements of the role.
You will be a forward thinking creative regional development leader with a passion for building investment ready projects and growing jobs in the regions.
The chief executive officer will be required to have a strong and visible presence across the Kimberley, demonstrated ability to partner with First Nations peoples, and well developed interpersonal skills.
This is a fixed-term position of up to five years and comes with an attractive remuneration package, with a salary range of $224 128 to $260 348 per annum plus a motor vehicle or motor vehicle allowance, and superannuation.
