Sheel is a registered clinical pharmacist and has worked at Curtin University in a number of leadership roles for over 12 years. With a background in both healthcare and education, Sheel is passionate about supporting development of professional practice.

As a member of HERDSA and the Athena Swan Charter, Sheel is committed to the encouragement, recognition and advancement of higher education and employability. She has a breadth and diversity of experience in recruitment and training of health care professionals and early career academics. Her background includes valuable recruitment and training experience within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander led organisations, fostering diversity and inclusion whilst promoting cultural sensitivity and expertise. Sheel is passionate about continuing to selecting and nurturing the right individuals to achieve a common vision and organisational goals.

She has worked within the Department of Justice and Health and the Telethon Institute and has built an extensive knowledge base and network within both the public and private sector.

Since joining Beilby Downing Teal in 2023, Sheel has taken every opportunity to use the skills and experience acquired from her background as capacity building towards her role in supporting recruitment services.
